Japan's food halls: the perfect place

When Japan’s big department stores open their doors each morning, managers step outside and offer a synchronised bow to customers, many of whom will have started queueing well before opening time. Most who file through the doors make a beeline for one area: the depachika, or food hall in the basement. Depachikas (a combination of depato, meaning department store, and chika, meaning basement) aren’t your average food halls. They’re a Japanese institution, a tribute to the country’s finest and most elaborately packaged foods.

At the Tokyo Daimaru, a Kit-Kat concession (it’s Japan’s best-selling chocolate) has Kit Kat chandeliers, and wasabi or pistachio-flavoured varieties to buy and take away in freezer bags containing tiny ice packs.

In the basements, elaborate displays of fruit and vegetables cater to the Japanese’s love of gifting. Enormous honeydew melons encircled with ribbon cost ¥5,724 (around £40) apiece, but those on a budget could choose bunches of beautifully wrapped, golf ball-sized grapes at ¥1,880 (£12.50).

But it’s the patisserie sections that are the most spectacular. Miniature cakes come topped with Hello Kitty faces moulded from jelly. Other popular delicacies include yōkan (colourful cubes of bean paste commonly adorned with floral designs and sold in paper crackers tied with ribbon) and individually packaged domes of shiny jelly flavoured with the juice of white shimizu peaches.

For those not heading to the land of the rising sun, the UK’s first depachika recently opened at the Japan Centre on Panton Street, central London. Suddenly, our local supermarket looks rather plain.

Ready to Love

  Sometimes it takes adverse conditions

for people to reach out to one another

  Sometimes it takes bad luck

for people to understand their goals better

  Sometimes it takes a storm

for people to appreciate the calm

  Sometimes it takes being hurt

for people to be more sensitive to feelings

  Sometimes it takes doubt

for people to trust one another

  Sometimes it takes seclusion

for people to find out who they really are

  Sometimes it takes disillusionment

  for people to become informed

  Sometimes it takes feeling nothing

  for people to feel everything

Sometimes it takes our emotions and feelings to be completely penetrated

for people to open up to love

I have gone through many of these things

  and I now know that

not only am I ready to

  love you

  but I do

Preparing For A Perfect Journey

Beautiful landscapes, exotic cultures and a relaxing time all contribute to the perfect journey. Journey can bring us much happiness, people all think about how wonderful their journey will be, but the preparation is also a fun part of one’s trip DR REBORN.
Liu is a college student, he went to travel to Tibet last week, “thinking about my experiences of travel, it’s the preparation beforehand that helps me a lot, I keep an enduring memory.” Liu says. We know preparation before the journey is very important, it ensures people safety, at the same time, people can have fun. What should people prepare for DR REBORN?
People should sketch a detailed route taking into account first. They need to check out their route very clearly, so they won’t lose their way. The second is to book the hotel earlier, make sure there is available room for you when you go to the place, if people don’t do it, sometimes there will be no room left. The third is to check out the weather during your journey, to make sure it fits your journey DR REBORN.
Preparation before journey is of importance, it decides how much fun you will share, so don’t ignore it.

Add luster to your personality

In the eternal universe, every human being has a one-off chance to live --his existence is unique and irretrievable, for the mold with which he was made, as Rousseau said, was broken by God immediately afterwards.

Fame, wealth and knowledge are merely worldly possessions that are within the reach of anybody striving for them. But your experience of and feelings about life are your own and not to be shared. No one can live your life over again after your death hotel and tourism management. A full awareness of this will point out to you that the most important thing in your existence is your distinctive individuality or something special of yours. What really counts is not your worldly success but your peculiar insight into the meaning of life and your commitment to it, which add luster to your personality.

It is not easy to be what one really is. There is many a person in the world who can be identified as anything either his job, his status or his social role that shows no trace about his individuality. It does do him justice to say that he has no identity of his own wismec reuleaux, if he doesn't know his own mind and all his things are either arranged by others or done on others' sugg estions; if his life, always occupied by external things, is completely void of an inner world. You won't be able to find anything whatever, from head to heart, that truly belongs to him DR REBORN. He is, indeed, no more than a shadow cast by somebody else or a machine capable of doing business.

In a call with co-founder

Pandascore currently works with League of Legends, FIFA, Dota 2 and soon Overwatch. The company has been working with e-sports teams, such as PSG’s League of Legends and FIFA teams. They get reports and insights to improve their skills. Competitions have also tried using Pandascore, such as the DreamHack in France or the Gamers Assembly.

But the startup slowly discovered that this kind of product made sense for betting websites. What if you could bet on the player who is going to destroy the most turrets in a League of Legends match? Pandascore hopes that betting sites in the U.K. will rely on its product to create new kinds of bets.

Tonsser, the social app for youth soccer players,
the Copenhagen-based startup that offers a vertical social network aimed at youth soccer players who want to build their own online profile and potentially get discovered by a bigger club, continues to grow at a clip, both in terms of signups but also the influence it wants to have on the beautiful game. The company is collaborating with Nike for its first brand channel, and now has 380,000 youth players registered, up from 100,000 just over a year ago mathconcept.

The Danish startup has also raised a new round of funding as it gears up for a 2018 expansion to the U.K., home to the English Premier League and a huge potential youth football market for the startup. It is also quite a fragmented one, in terms of youth leagues, so it will be interesting to see how quickly Tonsser can grow here. The app is currently live in France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Norway Next Generation Firewall.

and CEO Peter Holm (and after we spent the first ten minutes catching up with the latest Tottenham Hotspur news, as we are inclined to do), he told me that Tonsser is evolving from a social app that was mainly about youth players making a profile of themselves and tracking scores and stats in order to get noticed by scouts — a bit like a real life Football Manager video game — to offer even more user-generated content where players can learn skills from each other and in turn become influencers on the platform nitecore.
